We drove up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco from Monterey and spent the day on the bay. What a beautiful part of the country, strawberry fields, ocean and sky. Waking up at 6:00 a.m., we got on the road early. Around a 11:00 a.m. we found the Golden Gate smothered in fog and took a few pictures. Drove to Fisherman's Warf and checked in to the Argonaut Hotel and was upgraded for Dan's birthday (sweet surprise). From the front of the hotel, you can see Alcatraz in the bay. Took a trolley to the Ferry Building and had a crabcake sandwich and clam chowder. Trollied back to Girradelli Chocolate Building and enjoyed ice cream. I am enjoying a glass of wine at the hotels wine reception. I'll write more later.
